Daardie dag sal sewe vrouens een man beetpak en sê: “Ons sal ons eie brood eet en self vir ons klere sorg. Laat ons net jou naam dra, neem ons smaad weg!”

Daardie dag sal alles wat die Here laat uitspruit, mooi en weelderig wees. Dié uit Israel wat vrygekom het, sal trots wees op die opbrengs van die land en hulle daarin verlustig.

Wie in Sion oorgebly het, wie in Jerusalem bewaar gebly het, elkeen in Jerusalem wat vir die lewe opgeskryf is, sal heilig genoem word.

Die Here sal die inwoners van Sion reinig van hulle wandade en Hy sal die bloed wat aan die hande van Jerusalem kleef, verwyder deur die Gees wat oordeel en verteer.

Dan sal die Here bedags 'n wolk en snags die rook en glans van 'n vlammende vuur skep oor elke woonplek op Sionsberg en oor al die bymekaarkomplekke daar. Sy magtige teenwoordigheid sal alles beskut.

Daar sal 'n skuiling wees, 'n skaduwee teen die hitte bedags, 'n skuilplek en toevlug teen stortbuie en reën.
