Voor de koorleider. Van de zonen van Korach. Een psalm.

U bent uw land goedgezind geweest, o HEERE, in de gevangenschap van Jakob hebt U een ommekeer gebracht.
3
De ongerechtigheid van uw volk hebt U weggenomen, U hebt al hun zonden bedekt. Sela.
4
U hebt al uw opgelaaide woede ingehouden, de gloed van uw toorn hebt U afgewend.
5
Breng ons terug, o GOD van onze redding, laat uw toorn over ons varen.
6
Zult U voor eeuwig zo grimmig tegen ons zijn? Zult U uw toorn dan van generatie op generatie laten voortduren?
7
Zult U ons dan niet weer levend maken, opdat uw volk zich in U verblijdt?
8
Toon ons uw liefdevolle trouw, o HEERE, schenk ons uw redding.
9
Ik zal luisteren naar wat God, de HEERE, spreken zal, want Hij zal tot zijn volk en tot zijn getrouwen van vrede spreken. Laten zij toch niet weer op zichzelf gaan vertrouwen.
10
Zeker, zijn redding is nabij wie Hem vrezen, opdat zijn heerlijkheid in ons land wonen zal.
11
Liefdevolle vriendschap en trouw zullen elkaar ontmoeten, gerechtigheid en vrede zullen elkaar kussen.
12
Waarheid zal uit de aarde voortkomen, gerechtigheid zal vanuit de hemel naar beneden kijken.
13
Ook zal de HEERE het goede geven, ons land zal zijn opbrengst voortbrengen.
14
Gerechtigheid zal voor zijn aangezicht uitgaan, zij zal op het spoor van zijn voetstappen letten.
