Wysławiajcie JHWH, ponieważ jest dobry, Ponieważ Jego łaska trwa na wieki!

Niech powiedzą [to] odkupieni przez JHWH, Ci, których wykupił z ręki gnębiciela,

Zebrał z [przeróżnych] ziem: Ze wschodu i zachodu, Z północy i z południa!
4
Błądzili po pustyni, po pustkowiu, Nie znajdowali drogi do zamieszkałego miasta.
5
Byli głodni i spragnieni, Omdlewała w nich dusza,
6
Wtedy zawołali do JHWH w swej niedoli – [A On] wyzwolił ich z pognębienia.
7
Poprowadził ich prostą drogą, Aby doszli do zamieszkałego miasta.
8
Niech wysławiają JHWH – Jego łaskę i Jego cuda dla synów ludzkich,
9
Gdyż nasycił duszę spragnioną I duszę wygłodniałą napełnił dobrem!
10
Siedzących w ciemności i w cieniu śmierci, Więźniów nędzy i żelaza –
11
Ponieważ zbuntowali się przeciwko słowom Boga I pogardzili radą Najwyższego –
12
Upokorzył ich serce mozołem; Potykali się – i nie było pomocnika.
13
Wtedy zawołali do JHWH w swej niedoli – [A On] wybawił ich z pognębienia.
14
Wyprowadził ich z ciemności oraz cienia śmierci – I skruszył ich kajdany.
15
Niech wysławiają JHWH – Jego łaskę i Jego cuda dla synów ludzkich,
16
Gdyż pokruszył wrota ze spiżu I połamał żelazne zasuwy.
17
Głupcy – przez swe występne drogi i przez swoje winy cierpieli.
18
Wszelki pokarm obrzydł ich duszy I zbliżyli się do bram śmierci.
19
Wtedy zawołali do JHWH w swej niedoli, [A On] wybawił ich z pognębienia –
20
Posłał swoje Słowo i uleczył ich, I uratował ich przed dołem.
21
Niech wysławiają JHWH – Jego łaskę i Jego cuda dla synów ludzkich,
22
Niech składają ofiary dziękczynne, Niech z radością głoszą Jego czyny!
23
Ci, którzy zeszli na statkach na morze, Którzy prowadzili handel na wielkich wodach –
24
Ci widzieli dzieła JHWH I Jego cuda na głębinach.
25
Powiedział – i powstał wiatr burzy, Podniosły się jej fale!
26
Szli w górę, ku niebu, Schodzili w otchłanie; Ich dusza truchlała w nieszczęściu.
27
Zataczali się i chwiali jak pijani, A cała ich mądrość przepadła.
28
Wtedy zawołali do JHWH w swej niedoli, [A On] wyprowadził ich z pognębienia.
29
Sprowadził burzę do ciszy I uspokoiły się jej fale.
30
Ucieszyli się, że stanęły – I zaprowadził ich do upragnionej przystani.
31
Niech wysławiają JHWH – Jego łaskę i Jego cuda dla synów ludzkich!
32
Niech Go wywyższają w zgromadzeniu ludu I chwalą Go w radzie starszych!
33
Zamienił rzeki w pustynię I źródła wód w suchą ziemię.
34
Żyzną ziemię w ugór Z powodu zła mieszkających w niej.
35
Zamienił pustynię w stawy [pełne] wody, A ziemię suchą w źródła wód.
36
Osadził tam głodnych I założyli miasto dla zamieszkania.
37
Obsiali pola i zasadzili winnice I zrobili obfite zbiory.
38
Błogosławił im i bardzo się rozmnożyli, Nie umniejszył też ich bydła.
39
Zmaleli jednak i podupadli Przez ucisk, nieszczęście i rozpacz.
40
Wylał pogardę na dostojnych I doprowadził do ich błądzenia po pustkowiach bez drogi,
41
Lecz podniósł z nędzy ubogiego I uczynił [ich] rodziny jak stada owiec.
42
Prawi to widzą i cieszą się – I wszelkie bezprawie zamyka swe usta.
43
Kto mądry, niech tego przestrzega, Niech się zastanowi nad łaską JHWH!
