Wspominam nocą moją pieśń, Swoim sercem dociekam I badam swoim duchem:

Czy Pan odrzuca na wieki I nie przedłuża już więcej przychylności?

Czy wyczerpała się na zawsze Jego łaska? Zamknęły słowa dla dalszych pokoleń?

Czy Bóg zapomniał o litości? Czy w gniewie stłumił swe miłosierdzie?.

I stwierdziłem: To mnie boli, To zmienność prawicy Najwyższego!

Wspomnę [lepiej] dzieła JHWH; Tak, wspomnę Twoje dawne cuda.

Zagłębiam się więc we wszystkie Twe dzieła I rozważam Twoje czyny.

Boże, Twoją drogę przenika świętość! Który bóg jest tak wielki jak Bóg?

Ty jesteś Bogiem dokonującym cudów! Sprawiłeś, że wśród ludów poznano Twoją moc.
16
Odkupiłeś [swym] ramieniem swój lud, Synów Jakuba i Józefa..
17
Ujrzały Cię wody, o Boże, Ujrzały Cię wody – zakołysały, Tak, uniosły się głębie.
18
Spłynęły wodą obłoki, Chmury wydały głos – Tak, poleciały Twe strzały.
19
Głos Twego grzmotu [słychać] w wirze wiatru, Błyskawice rozświetliły świat, Zadrżała i zatrzęsła się ziemia.
20
Twoja droga wiedzie przez morze, Twoja ścieżka przez wielkie wody, A Twoje ślady – niepoznane.
21
Prowadziłeś swój lud niczym stado, Ręką Mojżesza i Aarona.
