Bildad, din Șuah, a urmat La rând și-a zis: „Te-am ascultat Și-acum, ascultă ce-ți spun eu: Îi aparțin lui Dumnezeu, Groaza și-asemenea puterea.

El doar Își împlinește vrerea, Făcând ca pacea să domnească Peste întinderea cerească.

Se află, oare, cineva Să-I numere oastea, cumva? Și peste cine nu răsare, Când se aprinde-ntreaga zare, În zori, a Domnului lumină?

Poate fi omul fără vină, ‘Naintea Domnului? Curat, Poate fi cel ce s-a-ntrupat Dintr-o femeie muritoare?

Nici luna nu-i strălucitoare, Nici stelele nu sunt curate. În Fața Sa, toate-s pătate.

Atuncea, mai puțin cu-atât Omul – biet vierme amărât – Cu al său fiu – tot muritor Și-asemeni lui, un viermișor – Curat nu are ca să fie, Azi, sau în vremea ce-o să vie!”
