Daardie dag sal min mans nog lewe. Sewe vroue sal met mekaar oor een man baklei en sê: “Laat ons almal met jou trou! Ons sal ons eie kos en klere verskaf. Gee ons net jou naam sodat hulle ons nie as kinderloses uitkryt nie!”

In die toekoms sal Israel, die tak van die Here, mooi en glansryk wees. En die vrugte van die land sal die trots wees van die mense wat oorgebly het.

Almal wie se name neergeskryf is, wat die uitwissing beleef het van Jerusalem, sal heilige mense wees.

Die Here sal die vuilheid afwas van die dogters van Jerusalem. Hy sal Jerusalem skoon was van sy bloedvlekke deur die gees van oordeel wat brand soos vuur.

Dan sal die Here skadu verskaf vir Jerusalem en almal wat daar vergader. Dan sal die Here bedags ’n wolk en snags ’n vuur beskik. Sy magtige heerlikheid sal alles beskerm.

Dit sal skuilplek bied teen die hitte van die dag en teen storms en reën.
