Kes jõuab ära rääkida Issanda vägevaid tegusid ja kuulutada kõike tema kiitust?

Õndsad on need, kes peavad tema seadusi ja kes teevad õigust igal ajal.

Mõtle minule, Issand, su head meelt mööda oma rahva vastu, tule mind katsuma oma abiga,

et ma näeksin su valitud rahva head põlve ning rõõmustaksin sinu rahva rõõmuga, kiitleksin koos sinu pärisosaga!

Me oleme pattu teinud nagu meie esiisad, me oleme teinud paha ja olnud õelad.

Meie esiisad Egiptuses ei saanud õieti aru su imetegudest ega pidanud meeles su suurt heldust, vaid tõrkusid su vastu mere ääres, Kõrkjamere ääres.
