Issand, ära nuhtle mind oma vihas ja ära karista mind oma vihaleegis!

Sest sinu nooled on alla tulnud mu sisse ja su käsi vajub mu peale.

Ei ole midagi tervet mu lihas sinu pahameele pärast; ei ole rahu mu kontides mu patu pärast.

Sest kõik mu pahateod ulatuvad üle mu pea; nagu raske koorem on need läinud rängemaks, kui ma suudan kanda.

Mu haavad haisevad ja mädanevad mu jõleduste pärast.

Sest ma pean tunnistama oma pahategu, ma olen mures oma patu pärast.

Aga mu vaenlased elavad hästi, nad on vägevad, ja palju on neid, kes mind asjata vihkavad

ja kes head tasuvad kurjaga, kes on mu vastased, sellepärast et ma head taga nõuan.
