Pakopų giesmė. Neužmiršk, VIEŠPATIE, Dovydo ir visų išvargtų jo vargų.

Jis prisiekė VIEŠPAČIUI ir pažadėjo Jokūbo Galingajam:

„Į namus, kuriuose gyvenu, nežengsiu, į lovos patalą negulsiu,
4
miego akims neduosiu, akių nesumerksiu,
5
kol neparūpinsiu VIEŠPAČIUI vietos, buveinės Jokūbo Galingajam“.
6
Girdėjome apie ją Efratoje, atradome Jaaro laukuose.
7
Sakėme: „Eikime į jo buveinę, pulkime kniūbsti prie jo sosto pakojo“.
8
Pakilk, VIEŠPATIE, ir ateik į savo poilsio vietą, tu ir tavo galybės Skrynia!
9
Tavo kunigai teapsivelka teisumu, tavo ištikimieji tešaukia iš džiaugsmo.
10
Tu pažadėjai savo tarnui Dovydui; neatmesk, VIEŠPATIE, savo pateptojo.
11
VIEŠPATS prisiekė Dovydui ir neatsižadės: „Padarysiu vieną tavo sūnų karaliumi, ir jis po tavęs viešpataus.
12
Jei tavo sūnūs bus ištikimi mano Sandorai bei mano įsakams, kuriuos jiems duodu, tai ir jų sūnūs amžinai sėdės tavo soste“.
13
Mat VIEŠPATS išsirinko Sioną, jis norėjo turėti jį savo Namais.
14
„Tai mano poilsio vieta amžinai; čia gyvensiu, nes toks mano noras.
15
Gausiai laiminsiu jo maisto atsargas, vargšus pasotinsiu duona.
16
Jo kunigus aprengsiu teisumu, ir jo ištikimieji šauks iš džiaugsmo.
17
Jame išželdinsiu Dovydo galybę; parengiau žibintą savo pateptajam.
18
Jo priešus aprengsiu gėda, o ant jo švytės jo vainikas“.
