Dovydo. Tebūna šlovinamas VIEŠPATS, mano Uola! Jis lavina mano rankas kovai ir mano pirštus mūšiui.

Jis — mano užuovėja ir mano pilis, mano tvirtovė ir mano Gelbėtojas, mano skydas, kuriuo pasitikiu. Jis paveda man valdyti tautas.

VIEŠPATIE, kas tas žmogus, kad tu juo rūpiniesi, tas mirtingasis, kad kreipi į jį dėmesį?

Žmogus — tarsi vėjo dvelktelėjimas, jo dienos — tarsi dingstantis šešėlis.

VIEŠPATIE, praplėšk dangaus skliautą ir nuženk, paliesk kalnus, ir jie ims rūkti.

Svaidyk žaibus ir išblaškyk mūsų priešus, laidyk savo strėles ir priversk bėgti!
7
Tiesk ranką iš aukštybių, išlaisvink mane ir ištrauk iš galingų vandenų, iš svetimųjų rankų!

Visa, ką jie sako, yra melas; jie kelia dešinę kreivai prisiekti.
9
Dieve, giedosiu tau naują giesmę, grosiu tau dešimtstyge arfa;

tu teiki pergalę karaliams ir gelbsti savo tarną Dovydą.

Išgelbėk mane nuo nuožmaus kalavijo, išlaisvink mane iš svetimųjų rankos. Visa, ką jie sako, yra melas; jie kelia dešinę kreivai prisiekti.

Tebūna mūsų sūnūs lyg sodinukai, puoselėti nuo pat jaunystės, mūsų dukterys — lyg išdailintos rūmų atramos.

Tebūna mūsų svirnai kupini visokio derliaus; mūsų avys, skaičiuojamos tūkstančiais, net dešimtimis tūkstančių, tegausėja mūsų ganyklose.

Tebūna gerai rūpinamasi mūsų galvijais. Tenebūna niekados miesto sienos pralaužtos, nei tremties, nei dejonių mūsų gatvėse tenebūna girdėti.

Laiminga tauta, kuriai taip klostosi, laiminga tauta, kurios Dievas — VIEŠPATS!
