VIEŠPATIE, jie trypia tavo tautą. Jie engia tavo paveldą,

Susipraskite, žmonės bukapročiai! Kvailiai, kada jūs įgysite išminties?

Nejau tas, kuris įdėjo ausis, negirdės? Nejau tas, kuris padarė akis, nematys?

Argi nebaudžia tas, kuris drausmina tautas ir moko žmoniją išminties?

VIEŠPATS žino žmonių užmojus, jis žino, kad tai tik kvėptelėjimai.

Laimingas žmogus, kurį tu, VIEŠPATIE, drausmini, kurį mokai savo įsakymų,

norėdamas suteikti jam ramybės varguose, kol nedorėliui kasama duobė.

Juk VIEŠPATS neapleis savo tautos, nepaliks savo paveldo.

Juk teismo nuosprendis bus vėl teisingas, ir visi doros širdies žmonės jį vykdys.

Kas apgins mane nuo šių nedorėlių, kas užstos mane prieš šiuos piktadarius?

Jei VIEŠPATS man nepadėtų, netrukus gyvenčiau tyliame kape.

Kai manau: „Mano koja slysta“, — tavo gerumas, VIEŠPATIE, mane stiprina.

Kai būnu neramus ir susirūpinęs, tu paguodi mane ir pralinksmini.

Tu negali būti bičiulis nedorų teisėjų, kurie kankina įstatymais.

Jie sąmokslauja prieš teisiojo gyvastį ir mirčiai pasmerkia nekaltą žmogų.

Bet VIEŠPATS — mano tvirtovė, ir mano Dievas — mano užuovėjos Uola.

Jis atmokės jiems už jų nedorus darbus, sunaikins juos už jų nedorumą. VIEŠPATS, mūsų Dievas, juos sunaikins.
