Ee nafsi yangu, umsifu Mwenyezi-Mungu; nafsi yangu yote ilisifu jina lake takatifu!

Ee nafsi yangu, umsifu Mwenyezi-Mungu! Usisahau kamwe wema wake wote.
3
Ndiye anayenisamehe uovu wangu wote, na kuniponya magonjwa yote.
4
Ndiye aniokoaye kutoka kifoni, na kunijalia rehema na fadhili zake.
5
Ndiye anayeniridhisha mema maisha yangu yote, hata nabaki kijana mwenye nguvu kama tai.
6
Mwenyezi-Mungu huhukumu kwa haki; huwajalia wanaodhulumiwa haki zao.
7
Alimjulisha Mose mwongozo wake, aliwaonesha watu wa Israeli matendo yake.
8
Mwenyezi-Mungu ni mwenye rehema na huruma; ni mvumilivu na mwingi wa fadhili.
9
Hatukemeikemei daima, wala hasira yake haidumu milele.
10
Yeye hatuadhibu kama tunavyostahili; hatulipizi kadiri ya uovu wetu.
11
Kama vile anga lilivyo juu mbali na dunia, ndivyo ulivyo mwingi wema wake kwa watu wanaomcha.
12
Kama mashariki ilivyo mbali na magharibi, ndivyo azitengavyo dhambi zetu mbali nasi.
13
Kama vile baba amhurumiavyo mwanawe, ndivyo Mwenyezi-Mungu awahurumiavyo wote wamchao.
14
Mungu ajua mfumo wa nafsi zetu; ajua kwamba sisi ni mavumbi.
15
Walakini binadamu, maisha yake ni kama nyasi tu; huchanua kama ua shambani:
16
upepo huvuma juu yake nalo latoweka; na mahali lilipokuwa hapaonekani tena.
17
Lakini fadhili za Mwenyezi-Mungu hudumu milele, kwa wale wote wanaomheshimu; na wema wake wadumu vizazi vyote,
18
kwa wote wanaozingatia agano lake, wanaokumbuka kutii amri zake.
19
Mwenyezi-Mungu ameweka kiti chake cha enzi mbinguni; yeye anatawala juu ya vitu vyote.
20
Enyi malaika wakuu, msifuni Mwenyezi-Mungu; mnaotimiza amri zake na kutekeleza neno lake!
21
Enyi jeshi lote la mbinguni, msifuni Mwenyezi-Mungu; enyi watumishi wake mnaotekeleza matakwa yake!
22
Msifuni Mwenyezi-Mungu enyi viumbe vyake vyote; msifuni popote mlipo katika milki yake. Ee nafsi yangu, umsifu Mwenyezi-Mungu!
