Ee Mwenyezi-Mungu, unilinde na makucha ya wabaya; unikinge na watu wakatili ambao wamepanga kuniangusha.

Wenye kiburi wamenitegea mitego, wametandaza kamba kama wavu, wameficha mitego njiani wanikamate.

Namwambia Mwenyezi-Mungu, “Wewe ndiwe Mungu wangu.” Usikilize, ee Mwenyezi-Mungu, sauti ya ombi langu.

Ee Mwenyezi-Mungu, Bwana wangu, mkombozi wangu mkuu, umenikinga salama wakati wa vita.

Ee Mwenyezi-Mungu, usiwape waovu wanayotaka; wala mipango yao mibaya usiifanikishe.

Hao wanaonizingira wanainua vichwa; uovu wa maneno yao uwapate wao wenyewe!

Makaa ya moto yawaangukie; watumbukizwe mashimoni, wasiinuke tena.

Wanaowasengenya wengine wasifanikiwe katika nchi; uovu uwapate wakatili na kuwaangamiza mara!

Najua Mwenyezi-Mungu hutetea kisa cha wanaoteswa, na kuwapatia haki maskini.
13
Hakika waadilifu watalisifu jina lako; wanyofu watakaa kwako.
