Anayekaa chini ya ulinzi wa Mungu Mkuu, anayeishi chini ya kivuli cha Mungu Mwenye Nguvu,

ataweza kumwambia Mwenyezi-Mungu: “Wewe ni kimbilio langu na ngome yangu; Mungu wangu, ninayekutumainia!”
3
Hakika Mungu atakuokoa katika mtego; atakukinga na maradhi mabaya.
4
Atakufunika kwa mabawa yake, utapata usalama kwake; mkono wake utakulinda na kukukinga.
5
Huna haja ya kuogopa vitisho vya usiku, wala shambulio la ghafla mchana;
6
huna haja ya kuogopa baa lizukalo usiku, wala maafa yanayotokea mchana.
7
Hata watu elfu wakianguka karibu nawe, naam, elfu kumi kuliani mwako, lakini wewe baa halitakukaribia.
8
Kwa macho yako mwenyewe utaangalia, na kuona jinsi watu waovu wanavyoadhibiwa.
9
Wewe umemfanya Mwenyezi-Mungu kuwa kimbilio lako; naam, Mungu aliye juu kuwa kinga yako.
10
Kwa hiyo, hutapatwa na maafa yoyote; nyumba yako haitakaribiwa na baa lolote.
11
Maana Mungu atawaamuru malaika zake, wakulinde popote uendapo.
12
Watakuchukua mikononi mwao, usije ukajikwaa kwenye jiwe.
13
Utakanyaga simba na nyoka, utawaponda wana simba na majoka.
14
Mungu asema: “Nitamwokoa yule anipendaye; nitamlinda anayenitambua!
15
Akiniita, mimi nitamwitikia; akiwa taabuni nitakuwa naye; nitamwokoa na kumpa heshima.
16
Nitamridhisha kwa maisha marefu, nitamjalia wokovu wangu.”
