Ee Mwenyezi-Mungu, Mungu mwenye kulipiza kisasi, ewe Mungu mlipiza kisasi, ujitokeze!

Usimame, ee hakimu wa watu wote; uwaadhibu wenye kiburi wanavyostahili!

Waovu wataona fahari hata lini? Watajisifia mpaka lini, ee Mwenyezi-Mungu?
4
Hata lini waovu watajigamba kwa maneno? Waovu wote watajivuna mpaka lini?
5
Wanawaangamiza watu wako, ee Mwenyezi-Mungu, wanawakandamiza hao walio mali yako.
6
Wanawaua wajane na wageni; wanawachinja yatima!
7
Wanasema: “Mwenyezi-Mungu haoni, Mungu wa Yakobo hajui!”
8
Enyi wajinga wa mwisho, fikirini kidogo! Enyi wapumbavu, mtapata lini maarifa?
9
Aliyefanya sikio, je, hawezi kusikia? Aliyeumba jicho, je, hawezi kuona?
10
Mwenye kutawala mataifa, je, hawezi kuadhibu? Mkufunzi wa wanadamu, je, hana maarifa?
11
Mwenyezi-Mungu ayajua mawazo ya watu; anajua kwamba hayafai kitu.
12
Heri mtu unayemfunza nidhamu, ee Mwenyezi-Mungu, mtu unayemfundisha sheria yako,
13
ili siku ya taabu apate utulivu, hadi waovu wachimbiwe shimo.
14
Mwenyezi-Mungu hatawaacha watu wake; hatawatupa hao walio mali yake.
15
Maana hukumu zitatolewa kwa haki tena, na wanyofu wote wa moyo wataizingatia.
16
Nani aliyenisaidia kumpinga mtu mwovu? Nani aliyekuwa upande wangu dhidi ya wabaya?
17
Mwenyezi-Mungu asingalinisaidia, ningalikwisha kwenda kwenye nchi ya wafu.
18
Nilipohisi kwamba ninateleza, fadhili zako, ee Mwenyezi-Mungu, zilinitegemeza.
19
Mahangaiko ya moyo wangu yanapozidi, wewe wanifariji na kunifurahisha.
20
Wewe huwezi kushirikiana na mahakimu dhalimu, wanaotunga kanuni za kutetea maovu.
21
Wao wanaafikiana kuwaangamiza waadilifu, na kuwahukumu watu wasio na hatia wauawe.
22
Lakini Mwenyezi-Mungu ni ngome yangu; Mungu wangu ni mwamba wa usalama wangu.
23
Uovu wao atawarudishia wao wenyewe, atawafutilia mbali kwa sababu ya ubaya wao. Mwenyezi-Mungu, Mungu wetu, atawafutilia mbali!
