Usikie sala yangu, ee Mwenyezi-Mungu! Ulitegee sikio ombi langu maana wewe ni mwaminifu; unijibu kwa sababu ya uadilifu wako.

Usinitie hukumuni mimi mtumishi wako, maana hakuna yeyote aliye mwadilifu mbele yako.

Maadui zangu wamenifuatia; wameniangusha chini kabisa wameniketisha gizani kama mtu aliyekufa zamani.

Nimevunjika moyo kabisa; nimekufa ganzi kwa ajili ya woga.
5
Nakumbuka siku zilizopita; natafakari juu ya yote uliyotenda, nawaza na kuwazua juu ya matendo yako.

Nakunyoshea mikono yangu kuomba; nina kiu yako kama nchi kavu isiyo na maji.
7
Ee Mwenyezi-Mungu, unijibu haraka; maana nimekata tamaa kabisa! Usijifiche mbali nami, nisije nikawa kama wale washukao kwa wafu.

Asubuhi unioneshe fadhili zako, maana nimekuwekea tumaini langu. Unifundishe mwenendo wa kufuata, maana nakuelekezea ombi la moyo wangu.
9
Uniokoe, ee Mwenyezi-Mungu, kutoka maadui zangu, maana kwako nakimbilia usalama.
10
Unifundishe kutimiza matakwa yako, maana wewe ni Mungu wangu! Roho yako nzuri iniongoze katika njia sawa.
11
Unifadhili, ee Mwenyezi-Mungu, kwa hisani yako, uniondoe katika taabu kwa sababu ya uadilifu wako.
12
Kwa sababu ya fadhili zako uwakomeshe maadui zangu, uwaangamize wote wanaonidhulumu; maana mimi ni mtumishi wako.
