Umsifu Mwenyezi-Mungu, ee nafsi yangu! Ee Mwenyezi-Mungu, Mungu wangu, wewe ni mkuu mno! Umejivika utukufu na fahari.
2
Umejizungushia mwanga kama vazi, umezitandaza mbingu kama hema;
3
umejenga makao yako juu ya maji ya mbingu. Umeyafanya mawingu kuwa gari lako; waruka juu ya mabawa ya upepo,
4
waufanya upepo kuwa mjumbe wako, moto na miali yake kuwa watumishi wako.
5
Dunia umeiweka imara juu ya misingi yake, ili isitikisike milele.
6
Uliifunika dunia kwa bahari kama vazi, na maji yakaimeza milima mirefu.
7
Ulipoyakaripia, maji yalikimbia, yaliposikia ngurumo yako yalitimka mbio.
8
Yaliporomoka toka milimani hadi mabondeni, mpaka pale mahali ulipoyatengenezea.
9
Uliyawekea hayo maji mipaka, yasije yakaifunika tena dunia.
10
Umetokeza chemchemi mabondeni, na mikondo yake ipite kati ya vilima.
11
Hizo zawapatia maji wanyama wote porini. Humo pundamwitu huzima kiu zao.
12
Ndege hujenga viota vyao katika miti ya hapo, hutua katika matawi yake na kuimba.
13
Toka juu angani wainyeshea milima mvua, nayo dunia waitosheleza kwa baraka yako.
14
Waotesha nyasi kwa ajili ya mifugo, na mimea kwa matumizi ya binadamu ili naye ajipatie chakula chake ardhini:
15
divai ya kumchangamsha, mafuta ya zeituni ya kumfurahisha, na mkate wa kumpa nguvu.
16
Miti mikubwa ya Mwenyezi-Mungu yapata maji ya kutosha; naam, mierezi ya Lebanoni aliyoiotesha.
17
Humo, ndege hujenga viota vyao; korongo hufanya maskani yao katika misonobari.
18
Milima mirefu ni makao ya mbuzimwitu; na pelele hupata maficho yao miambani.
19
Umeuumba mwezi utupimie majira; jua nalo lajua wakati wa kutua.
20
Waleta giza, usiku waingia; nao wanyama wote wa porini wanatoka:
21
wanasimba hunguruma wapate mawindo, humngojea Mungu awape chakula chao.
22
Jua lichomozapo hurudi makwao, na kujipumzisha mapangoni mwao.
23
Hapo naye binadamu huenda kwenye shughuli zake; na kufanya kazi zake mpaka jioni.
24
Ee Mwenyezi-Mungu, umetenda mambo mengi mno! Yote umeyafanya kwa hekima! Dunia imejaa viumbe vyako!
25
Mbali kule iko bahari - kubwa na pana, ambamo kumejaa viumbe visivyohesabika, viumbe hai, vikubwa na vidogo.
26
Ndimo zinamosafiri meli, na lile dude Lewiyathani uliloliumba licheze humo.
27
Wote wanakungojea wewe, uwapatie chakula chao kwa wakati wake.
28
Wanaokota chochote kile unachowapa; ukifumbua mkono wako wanashiba vinono.
29
Ukiwapa kisogo, wanaogopa; ukiondoa pumzi yao, wanakufa, na kurudi mavumbini walimotoka.
30
Ukiwapulizia pumzi yako, wanaishi tena; wewe waipa dunia sura mpya.
31
Utukufu wa Mwenyezi-Mungu udumu milele; Mwenyezi-Mungu apendezwe na matendo yake mwenyewe.
32
Huitazama dunia nayo hutetemeka, huigusa milima nayo hutoa moshi!
33
Nitamwimbia Mwenyezi-Mungu maisha yangu yote; nitamsifu Mungu wangu muda wote niishipo.
34
Upendezwe, ee Mwenyezi-Mungu, na mawazo yangu haya; maana furaha yangu naipata kwako.
35
Wenye dhambi waondolewe duniani, pasiwe na waovu wowote tena! Umsifu Mwenyezi-Mungu, ee nafsi yangu! Msifuni Mwenyezi-Mungu!
