Van Dawid. Ek wil die Here prys, ek wil sy heilige Naam prys met my hele hart.

Ek wil die Here prys, ek wil nie een ding vergeet wat Hy gedoen het nie.

Dit is Hý wat al my sondes vergewe en wat my gesond maak van al my siektes.
4
Dit is Hý wat my lewe red van die graf en wat altyd vir my doen wat Hy belowe. Dit is Hý wat goed is vir my wanneer ek swaarkry.
5
Dit is Hý wat baie goeie dinge vir my gee, sodat ek elke dag so jonk voel soos 'n arend.

Die Here doen reg aan mense, Hy oordeel reg oor die mense wat swaarkry.
7
Hy het vir Moses gesê wat Hy wil hê, Hy het vir die Israeliete gesê wat Hy gedoen het.
8
Die Here is goed vir mense wat swaarkry, Hy is genadig en geduldig, Hy doen altyd wat Hy belowe het.
9
Hy sal ons nie altyd beskuldig nie en nie altyd kwaad bly nie.
10
Hy straf ons oor ons sonde, maar Hy straf ons nie so swaar soos Hy móét nie.
11
Ja, soos die hemel baie hoog is bo die aarde, so doen die Here baie vir die mense wat Hom dien, Hy doen altyd wat Hy belowe het.
12
So ver soos die ooste van die weste is, so ver neem Hy ons sonde weg van ons.
13
Soos 'n pa jammer is vir sy kinders, so is die Here ook jammer vir die mense wat Hom dien,
14
want Hy ken ons, Hy weet dat ons stof is.
15
Die mens se lewe is soos die lewe van 'n plant, hy groei soos 'n veldblom,
16
en wanneer die wind daaroor gewaai het, dan is die blom weg, niemand weet waar hy gegroei het nie.
17
Maar die Here hou aan om te doen wat Hy belowe het, Hy hou aan om reg te doen aan die mense wat Hom dien, en aan hulle kinders en kleinkinders.
18
Hy doen reg aan almal wat gehoorsaam is aan sy verbond en wat doen wat Hy sê.
19
Die Here het sy troon in die hemel gesit, Hy is Koning van alles en almal.
20
Engele van die Here, julle moet die Here prys, julle wat sterk is en wat doen wat die Here sê.
21
Al die sterre van die Here moet Hom prys, almal wat vir Hom werk en wat doen wat Hy wil hê.
22
Alles en almal wat die Here gemaak het, moet die Here prys op al die plekke waar Hy Koning is. En ek wil ook die Here prys.
