'n Gebed van Dawid. Here, U moet luister, ek is onskuldig. U moet luister wanneer ek vra dat U my moet help, U moet luister wanneer ek bid. Ek het niemand bedrieg nie.

My God, ek bid tot U, want ek weet U sal my antwoord. U moet luister en hoor wat ek sê.

Hulle is soos leeus wat lê en wag en gereed is om my dood te byt.

Here, U moet kom, U moet my vyande keer, U moet hulle op die grond gooi, U moet my red van die mense wat verkeerd doen.

Here, U self moet my red van hierdie mense, hierdie mense wat alles het in hierdie lewe en wat hulle vol eet van die dinge wat U gee, mense wie se kinders genoeg het, en vir hulle kleinkinders bly daar ook nog kos oor.
