Dit gaan goed met 'n mens wanneer die Here nie sê dat hy skuldig is nie. Dit gaan goed met 'n mens wat nie ander mense bedrieg nie.

Ja, toe ek stilgebly het oor my sondes, het ek die hele dag gekla en gesug en ek het maer geword,

want U het my elke dag en nag gestraf. Dit het gevoel of daar 'n vuur in my brand. Sela

Toe het ek my sonde vir U bely, ek het nie probeer wegsteek dat ek verkeerd gedoen het nie, ek het gesê ek sal vir die Here bely dat ek opstandig was. En U het my sonde vergewe. Sela

Daarom moet elke mens wat in U glo, tot U bid wanneer dit met hom sleg gaan. Dan sal die watervloed hom nie wegspoel nie.

U beskerm my, U hou my weg van gevaar, U maak my vry, en ek kan daaroor sing.

Ek wil vir jou leer en vir jou sê hoe jy moet lewe, ek wil vir jou raad gee en ek wil kyk wat jy doen.

Jy moenie soos 'n perd of 'n muil wees wat dom is nie. 'n Mens moet 'n stang en 'n toom hê om so 'n dier mak te maak en om hom by jou te hou.

Dit gaan baie sleg met 'n mens wat verkeerd doen, maar die Here doen wat Hy belowe het vir die mens wat in Hom glo.

Julle almal wat reg lewe, julle moet bly wees, julle moet juig oor wat die Here gedoen het. Julle almal wat eerlik lewe, julle moet bly wees en skree.
