O God, ek wil iets doen, ek wil sing en musiek maak, ek self wil dit doen.
3
Ek wil my harp en my lier neem, ek wil sing voordat die son opkom.
4
Ek wil hê al die volke moet hoor wanneer ek vir U dankie sê en vir U sing.
5
Want U doen wat U belowe, op die aarde en in die hemel, U bly dieselfde, ook tot by die wolke.
6
O God, U moet vir almal wys dat U die Groot Koning is van die hemel en van die hele aarde.
7
U moet nou u hand optel en ons red, U moet doen wat ek vra, sodat ons, die mense vir wie U lief is, vry kan word.
8
God het in sy tempel gesê: “Ek het die vyande oorwin en Ek sal juig wanneer Ek die grond van die stad Sigem verdeel en wanneer Ek die Sukkot-vallei meet en vir mense gee.
9
Die land Gilead is my land, die land Manasse is ook Myne. Die land Efraim is vir My soos die helm op die kop van 'n soldaat. Die land Juda is vir My soos die septer in die hand van 'n koning.
10
Die land Moab is vir My soos 'n skottel waarin iemand sy voete was. Ek neem die land Edom vir My. Ek skree omdat Ek die oorlog gewen het in die land van die Filistyne.”

Wie sal my bring na 'n stad wat sterk mure het? Wie sal my na Edom lei?
12
O God, U het ons weggestoot, U gaan nie saam met ons soldate wanneer hulle oorlog gaan maak nie.
13
U moet ons kom help teen die vyande, want ménse kan ons nie help nie.
14
Wanneer God by ons is, dan sal ons sterk wees, Hy self sal ons vyande plat trap.
