'n Psalm. 'n Lied. Vir die Sabbatdag.

Dit is goed om vir die Here dankie te sê, om te sing vir U, Hoogste God,
3
om elke môre te sê dat U doen wat U belowe, om elke nag te sê dat U dieselfde bly.
4
Ek doen dit met 'n tiensnaar-harp, en met die musiek van 'n lier,
5
want die dinge wat U gedoen het, het my bly gemaak, ek wil sing oor die dinge wat U gedoen het.
6
Here, dit is groot dinge wat U gedoen het, die dinge wat U dink, is vir my moeilik om te verstaan.
7
Dom mense, dwase, weet nie en hulle verstaan nie
8
dat mense wat verkeerd doen, soos plante groei nie, hulle verstaan nie dat dit goed gaan met al die mense wat slegte dinge doen, maar dat hulle vir altyd sal sterf nie.

Maar Ú, Here, U regeer altyd oor alles.
10
Ja, Here, ek weet u vyande sal verdwyn, ja, ek weet hulle sal verdwyn, U sal almal wat slegte dinge doen, wegjaag na al die kante toe.
11
Maar U het vir my so sterk soos 'n oer-os gemaak, U het my laat feesvier.
12
Ek het gesien hoe my vyande val, ek het gehoor hoe skree die mense wat téén my is, die mense wat slegte dinge doen.
13
Maar mense wat reg doen, is soos 'n palmboom wat groei, soos 'n sederboom wat hoog groei op die Libanon-berg.
14
Hulle is soos bome wat by die tempel staan en wat vrugte dra op die oop stukke grond van ons God.
15
Hulle dra vrugte ook wanneer hulle oud is, hulle is sterk en altyd groen.
16
Dit wys dat die Here reg doen. Hy is my Rots, Hy doen nie verkeerd nie.
