'n Psalm. Van Dawid. Here, ek roep en ek vra dat U gou moet kom. U moet luister, ek roep en ek vra dat U my moet help.

Ek bid tot U, my gebed moet vir U wees soos 'n wierook-offer wat ek bring. Ek steek my hande uit na U, dit moet vir U wees soos 'n aand-offer.

Here, U moet 'n wag voor my mond sit, U moet keer dat ek niks verkeerd sê nie.

U moet keer dat ek nie slegte dinge wil doen nie, dat ek nie dinge wil doen wat verkeerd is saam met die mense wat slegte dinge doen nie, dat ek nie die dinge wat vir hulle lekker is, saam met hulle geniet nie.

'n Mens wat reg lewe en wat my vriend is, mag my slaan en mag met my raas. Dit sal vir my wees soos iemand wat olyf-olie op my kop gooi. Maar ek sal aanhou om te bid dat die Here mense sal straf wat slegte dinge doen.

Wanneer die Here die leiers van die slegte mense van 'n rots laat afval, dan sal ek sê dit is goed.

Die leiers sal moet sê: “Ons bene lê oral by die bek van die doderyk, dit lyk soos wanneer iemand geploeg het en die grond stukkend gebreek het.”

Here, ek weet dat U my altyd sal help. Ek vra dat U my moet beskerm, U moenie dat ek sterf nie.

Mense wat slegte dinge doen, wil my in vangnette en vangstrikke vang. U moet keer dat ek nie daarin val nie.
10
U moet hierdie mense wat verkeerd doen, in hulle eie vangnette laat val, maar die nette moenie vir my vang nie.
