Sufletul meu, binecuvântează-L pe Iahve! Și tot ce este în mine, să binecuvânteze sfântul Lui nume!
2
Sufletul meu, binecuvântează-L pe Iahve; și nu uita niciuna dintre binefacerile Lui!
3
El îți iartă toate nedreptățile, îți vindecă toate bolile,
4
și îți salvează viața din groapă. Te înconjoară cu bunătate și cu milă,
5
îți satisface dorințele bune și te face să întinerești ca vulturul!
6
Iahve judecă; și le face dreptate tuturor celor exploatați și nedreptățiți!
7
El Și-a revelat metodele Sale lui Moise; și Și-a prezentat lucrările Sale urmașilor lui Israel.
8
Iahve își manifestă bunătatea și mila. El nu Se grăbește să Se mânie; și este bogat în bunătate.
9
Iahve nu rămâne în conflict deschis pentru totdeauna și nu Își menține mânia pentru eternitate.
10
El nu ne pedepsește conform păcatelor noastre; și nu ne recompensează direct proporțional cu nedreptățile noastre.
11
Ci cât de sus este cerul față de pământ, atât de mare este și bunătatea Lui pentru cei care se tem de El.
12
Cât de departe este răsăritul de apus, atât de mult îndepărtează El nedreptățile noastre de la noi.
13
Iahve are milă de cei care se tem de El – exact cum se comportă un tată față de copiii lui –
14
pentru că El știe din ce suntem făcuți: Își amintește că suntem (luați din) pământ.
15
Dar zilele omului sunt ca iarba. El înflorește exact ca floarea de pe câmp.
16
Când trece un vânt peste ea, nu mai este; și nu i se mai cunoaște locul unde a fost…
17
Dar bunătatea lui Iahve durează din eternitate în eternitate pentru cei care se tem de El; și dreptatea Lui este benefică pentru copiii copiilor lor –
18
pentru aceia care respectă legământul Lui și pentru cei care își amintesc poruncile Lui ca să le aplice în viața lor.
19
Iahve Și-a stabilit tronul în cer; iar guvernarea Lui îi cuprinde pe toți (oamenii).
20
Binecuvântați-L pe Iahve – îngerii Lui care aveți mare forță, care Îi executați ordinele și care ascultați ce vă spune El!
21
Binecuvântați-L pe Iahve – toate armatele Lui, formate din cei care Îl slujesc și care Îi respectă dorința!
22
Binecuvântați-L pe Iahve – toate lucrările Lui, din toate locurile unde se manifestă autoritatea Lui! Sufletul meu, binecuvântează-L pe Iahve!
