Doamne, la Tine caut adăpostul (de care am nevoie)! Să nu îmi fie vreodată rușine (pentru această alegere)!
2
Acționează cu dreptatea Ta! Salvează-mă și scapă-mă! Apleacă-Ți urechea spre mine și salvează-mă!
3
Fii o stâncă ce îmi oferă adăpost și la care să pot veni mereu! Poruncește salvarea mea, pentru că Tu ești stânca și fortăreața mea!
4
Dumnezeul meu, scapă-mă de acțiunile omului rău. Salvează-mă din brațul celui incorect și violent!
5
Tu, Stăpânul meu, ești speranța mea! Din tinerețea mea și până acum, eu m-am încrezut în Iahve!
6
M-am bazat pe Tine încă de când eram în uterul mamei mele. Și pentru că Tu m-ai scos de-acolo, Ție Îți voi oferi lauda mea mereu!
7
Am ajuns ca un miracol pentru mulți; dar Tu ești adăpostul meu!
8
Gura mea este plină de laudă la adresa Ta. Te glorific tot timpul zilei.
9
Nu mă abandona la bătrânețe! Să nu Îți întrerupi susținerea pentru mine când nu voi mai avea forță;
10
pentru că dușmanii mei vorbesc despre mine, iar cei care urmăresc să îmi ia viața, complotează împotriva mea,
11
zicând: „L-a abandonat Dumnezeu! Urmăriți-l și prindeți-l; pentru că nu mai are scăpare!”
12
Dumnezeule, nu Te îndepărta de mine! Dumnezeul meu, vino imediat să îmi ajuți!
13
Să dispară în rușine inamicii sufletului meu! Desconsiderarea și dezonoarea să îi acopere pe aceia care intenționează să îmi facă rău!
14
Dar eu voi continua să sper; și Te voi lăuda tot mai mult!
15
Gura mea va povesti toată ziua despre dreptatea Ta și despre salvarea Ta, chiar dacă nu le cunosc marginile!
16
Doamne, Stăpâne, voi veni și voi proclama miracolele Tale. Voi aminti dreptatea Ta și numai pe a Ta!
17
Dumnezeule, m-ai învățat încă din tinerețea mea; iar eu continui să vestesc miracolele Tale până astăzi.
18
Doamne, nu mă abandona nici chiar când voi fi bătrân și voi avea părul alb – până când nu voi vorbi următoarei generații despre ce poți Tu să faci și până când nu voi relata celor care vor veni despre forța Ta.
19
Dumnezeule, dreptatea Ta ajunge până la cer! Doamne, tot ce ai făcut Tu, este grandios! Cine este ca Tine?
20
Deși m-ai făcut să trec prin multe și prin amare dificultăți, Tu îmi vei da din nou viață. Tu mă vei scoate chiar și din adâncimile pământului.
21
Îmi vei mări onoarea și mă vei încuraja din nou.
22
Dar și eu Te voi lăuda cu harpa pentru consecvența Ta, Dumnezeul meu! Îți voi cânta cu lira; pentru că Tu ești Sfântul lui Israel!
23
Buzele mele vor răsuna de bucurie când Îți vor cânta. Același lucru se va întâmpla și în sufletul meu pe care l-ai răscumpărat!
24
Limba mea va proclama și ea toată ziua dreptatea Ta; pentru că cei care îmi doreau răul, au fost obligați să le fie rușine și au ajuns de râs (ul celorlalți).
