Prečo majú hovoriť pohania: Kde je ich Boh?

Náš Boh je na nebesiach, všetko robí podľa svojej vôle.

Ich modly sú striebro a zlato, dielo ľudských rúk.

Majú ústa, ale nehovoria, majú oči, ale nevidia,

majú uši, ale nepočujú, majú nosy, ale nečuchajú,
7
majú ruky, ale nehmatajú, majú nohy, ale nechodia, z hrdla hláska nevydajú.

Podobní im budú tí, čo ich zhotovujú, všetci, čo sa na ne spoliehajú.

Izrael, dúfaj v Hospodina! On je tvojou pomocou a štítom.

Áronovci, dúfajte v Hospodina! On je vašou pomocou a štítom.

Hospodinovi ctitelia, dúfajte v Hospodina! On vám je pomocou a štítom.

Hospodin na nás pamätá, žehná nás; žehná dom Izraelov, žehná dom Áronov,

žehná tých, čo ctia Hospodina, malých i veľkých.
14
Kiež vás rozmnoží Hospodin, vás i vašich synov!

Požehnaní, ktorí patríte Hospodinovi. On utvoril nebo i zem.
16
Nebesia patria Hospodinovi, zem dal ľuďom.
17
Mŕtvi nebudú chváliť Hospodina, nikto z tých, čo zostupujú do hrobového ticha,

ale my budeme dobrorečiť Hospodinovi odteraz až naveky. Haleluja!
