Dávidova modlitba. N akloň svoj sluch, Hospodin, a odpovedz mi, lebo som úbohý a chudobný.

Ochraňuj ma, veď som ti oddaný. Pomôž mi, svojmu služobníkovi; predsa si môj Boh, spolieham sa na teba!

Zmiluj sa nado mnou, Pane, veď celý deň volám k tebe!
4
Obveseľ dušu svojho služobníka, k tebe ju, Pane, povznášam.
5
Ty si dobrý, Pane, ochotný odpúšťať. Oplývaš milosťou voči tým, čo k tebe volajú.
6
Hospodin, nakloň ucho k mojej modlitbe, všímaj si môj úpenlivý hlas.
7
Volám ťa, keď som v tiesni, a ty mi odpovieš.
8
Nikto medzi bohmi sa ti nevyrovná, Pane, ani tvojim dielam.
9
Všetky národy, ktoré si utvoril, prídu sa ti pokloniť, Pane, a uctiť tvoje meno.
10
Ty si veľký a konáš divy, ty jediný si Boh.
11
Vyuč ma, Hospodin, svojej ceste a budem žiť podľa tvojej pravdy. Sústreď moju myseľ, aby som mal bázeň pred tvojím menom.
12
Chcem ti ďakovať, Pane, môj Bože, celým srdcom a navždy velebiť tvoje meno.
13
Veľká je tvoja milosť voči mne, vyslobodil si ma z hlbín ríše mŕtvych.
14
Bože, napadli ma pyšní ľudia, tlupa násilníkov striehne na mňa, na teba nedbajú.
15
Ty však, Pane, si Boh milosrdný a milostivý, zhovievavý, plný lásky a vernosti.
16
Obráť sa ku mne a zmiluj sa nado mnou, obdaruj svojho služobníka silou, zachráň syna svojej služobnice!
17
Daj mi znamenie svojej priazne, nech moji neprajníci zahanbení vidia, že ty, Hospodin, mi pomáhaš a potešuješ ma.
