Jag älskar Herren, för han hörde min vädjan

och lyssnade till mig. Jag ska anropa honom hela mitt liv.

Dödens rep omslöt mig, dödsrikets fasor fann mig. Jag kände ångest och ängslan.
4
Då anropade jag Jahves namn: ”O Jahve, rädda mitt liv!”
5
Herren är nåderik och rättfärdig, vår Gud är barmhärtig.
6
Herren visar omsorg om de enkla. Jag var nedbruten och han hjälpte mig.
7
Min själ, vänd åter till frid, för Herren har gjort dig väl.
8
För du räddade mitt liv från döden, ögat från tårar, foten från fall.
9
Jag ska vandra inför Herren i de levandes land.
10
Jag trodde, även när jag sa: ”Jag plågas svårt.”
11
Jag sa i min ängslan: ”Alla människor ljuger.”
12
Hur kan jag gottgöra Herren alla hans välgärningar mot mig?
13
Jag lyfter frälsningens bägare och anropar Jahves namn.
14
Jag infriar mina löften till Herren inför allt hans folk.
15
När hans heliga dör är det högaktat i Herrens ögon.
16
O Herre, jag är i sanning din tjänare. Jag är din tjänare, son till din tjänarinna. Du har löst mina bojor.
17
Jag frambär tackoffer till dig och anropar Jahves namn.
18
Jag infriar mina löften till Herren inför allt hans folk,
19
på förgårdarna till Herrens tempel, mitt i Jerusalem. Halleluja!
