Halleluja! Prisa Jahves namn! Prisa det, ni Jahves tjänare

som står i Jahves tempel, på förgårdarna till vår Guds hus.

Prisa Jahve, för han är god, lovsjung hans namn, för det är ljuvligt!

För Jahve har utvalt Jakob åt sig, Israel som sin särskilda egendom.
5
Jag vet att Jahve är stor, vår Herre är större än alla gudar.
6
Jahve gör allt vad han vill, i himlen och på jorden, i haven och i alla djup.
7
Han låter molnen stiga över hela jorden, han skapar blixtar bland regnet, han hämtar vinden från sina förråd.
8
Han dödade Egyptens förstfödda, både människor och djur.
9
Han sände tecken och under inne i Egypten, mot Farao och alla hans tjänare.

Han slog ner många folk, dödade mäktiga kungar:

Sichon, amoreernas kung, Og, Bashans kung, och alla Kanaans kungadömen.

Han gav deras land till egendom, till egendom åt sitt folk Israel.
