Bara hos Gud har min själ vila. Från honom kommer min frälsning.

Bara han är min klippa och min frälsning. Han är min fästning, jag står trygg.

Hur länge tänker ni hota mig? Ska ni tillsammans förgöra mig som vore jag en lutande vägg, en fallfärdig mur?

De planerar att störta mig från min höga position. De älskar att ljuga. De välsignar med munnen, men förbannar inom sig. <>

Bara hos Gud har du vila, min själ, för mitt hopp kommer från honom.

Bara han är min klippa och min frälsning. Han är min fästning, jag står trygg och säker.

Hos Gud är min frälsning och härlighet, Gud är min starka klippa och min tillflykt.

Folk, förtrösta alltid på honom, utgjut era hjärtan för honom. Gud är vår tillflykt. <>

Människan är en vindpust. Människan är lögnaktig. Vägda på en våg är de tillsammans lättare än luft.

Tro inte på utpressning, sätt inget falskt hopp till stöld. Om ditt välstånd växer, låt inte hjärtat fästas vid det.

En gång har Gud talat, vid två tillfällen har jag hört: att makten finns hos Gud,

och att trogen kärlek finns hos dig, Herre. För du lönar alla efter deras handlingar.
