En psalm av David. För körledaren.

Salig är den som visar omsorg om den fattige. Herren ska rädda honom i nödens tid.
3
Herren ska skydda honom och hålla honom vid liv. Han ska vara välsignad i landet. Du lämnar honom inte i fiendehand.
4
Herren stöder honom vid sjukbädden. Du förvandlar allt där han ligger sjuk.

Jag sa: ”Herre, visa mig nåd, bota mig, för jag har syndat mot dig!”
6
Mina fiender talar illvilligt om mig: ”Ska han aldrig dö och glömmas bort?”
7
Den som besöker mig talar nonsens. Samtidigt tänker han ont om mig för att sedan sprida ut det.
8
Alla som hatar mig kommer samman och viskar. De planerar sattyg för mig.
9
De säger: ”Något djävulskt har drabbat honom, han ska förbli liggande.”

Även min nära vän har vänt sig emot mig, han som jag litade på och som åt med mig.

Men du, Herre, visa mig nåd och res mig, jag vill ge dem vad de förtjänar!
12
Jag vet att du älskar mig, för min fiende triumferar inte över mig.
13
Eftersom jag är rättrådig stöder du mig och låter mig få vara i din närvaro för evigt.
14
Lov och pris till Jahve, Israels Gud, från evighet till evighet! Amen, ja Amen.
