om jag lönat min vän med ont, - jag som friat den som utan skäl var min ovän -

låt då min fiende ansätta och övermanna mig, låt honom förnedra mig och lägga min heder i smutsen. <>

Herre, res dig i din vrede, konfrontera mina fienders raseri. För min skull, gå till handling i den dom som du befallt.

Låt folken samlas runt dig, trona åter över dem från ovan.

Herren dömer folken. Jahve, du Högste, döm mig efter min rättfärdighet och rättrådighet.

Låt förbrytarnas ondska få ett slut, men stöd den rättfärdige. För Gud den rättfärdige prövar människans tankar och motiv.
11
Gud den Högste är min sköld, han räddar de rättsinniga.
12
Gud är en rättfärdig domare, en Gud som dagligen är vred.
13
Om någon inte omvänder sig vässar Gud sitt svärd, och spänner sin båge och siktar.
14
Han har förberett sina dödliga vapen och gör sina pilar brinnande.
15
Lyssna, han bär ondska inom sig, han går havande med illdåd och föder falskhet.
16
Han gräver en djup grop, sedan faller han själv däri.
17
Hans illdåd rammar hans eget huvud, hans råhet drabbar hans egen skalle.
18
Jag tackar Herren för hans rättfärdighet, jag lovsjunger Jahve, den Högstes namn.
