Zaburi ya Daudi. Ee nafsi yangu, umusifu Yawe; nafsi yangu yote isifu jina lake takatifu!

Ee nafsi yangu, umusifu Yawe! Usisahau hata kidogo matendo mazuri yake yote.
3
Ananisamehe uovu wangu wote, na kuniponyesha magonjwa yote.
4
Ananiokoa kutoka kifo, na kunijalia wema na rehema zake.
5
Anajaza maisha yangu na raha, hata ninabaki kijana mwenye nguvu kama tai.
6
Yawe anahukumu kwa haki; anawajalia wanaoteswa haki zao.
7
Alimujulisha Musa njia zake, aliwaonyesha watu wa Israeli matendo yake makubwa.
8
Yawe ni mwenye rehema na huruma; ni muvumilivu na mwingi wa wema.
9
Hatukaripii siku zote, wala hasira yake haidumu milele.
10
Yeye hatuazibu kama tunavyostahili; hatulipizi kadiri ya uovu wetu.
11
Kama vile anga linavyokuwa juu mbali na dunia, ndivyo kipimo cha wema wake kinavyokuwa kwa watu wanaomwabudu.
12
Kama mashariki inavyokuwa mbali na magaribi, ndivyo anavyotenga zambi zetu mbali nasi.
13
Kama vile baba anavyohurumia mwana wake, ndivyo Yawe anavyohurumia wote wanaomwabudu.
14
Mungu anajua jinsi tulivyoumbwa; anajua kwamba sisi ni mavumbi.
15
Maisha ya mwanadamu ni kama majani tu, yanachanua kama maua:
16
upepo unapovuma juu yake yanatoweka, na mahali yalipokuwa hapaonekani tena.
17
Lakini wema wa Yawe unadumu milele, kwa wale wote wanaomwabudu; na haki yake inadumu vizazi vyote,
18
kwa wote wanaoshika agano lake, wanaokumbuka kutii amri zake.
19
Yawe ameweka kiti chake cha kifalme mbinguni; yeye anatawala juu ya vitu vyote.
20
Mumusifu Yawe, enyi wamalaika wakubwa, enyi munaotimiza amri zake na kutimiza neno lake!
21
Mumusifu Yawe, enyi kundi lote la mbinguni, enyi watumishi wake munaotimiza mapenzi yake!
22
Mumusifu Yawe, enyi viumbe vyake vyote; mumusifu popote munapokuwa katika utawala wake. Ee nafsi yangu, umusifu Yawe!
