Ninamupenda Yawe, kwa maana ananisikia, maana amesikia kilio cha ombi langu.

Yeye amenitegea sikio, hivyo nitamwomba muda wote wa maisha yangu.

Hatari ya kifo ilinizunguka, vitisho vya kaburi vilinishika; nilisongwa na mahangaiko na huzuni.

Kisha nikamulilia Yawe: “Ee Yawe, tafazali uniokoe!”
5
Yawe ni mwenye huruma na haki; Mungu wetu ni mwenye rehema.
6
Yawe anawalinda wajinga; nilipokuwa nimegandamizwa aliniokoa.
7
Ukuwe na utulivu mukubwa, ee nafsi yangu, kwa vyote Yawe amenitendea.
8
Ameniokoa toka kifo na kufuta machozi yangu; akanilinda nisianguke.
9
Nitatembea mbele ya Yawe, katika inchi ya watu wenye kuwa wazima.
10
Nilikuwa na imani hata niliposema: “Mimi nimetaabika sana.”
11
Hata nilisema kwa hofu yangu: “Wanadamu wote hawawezi kutumainiwa!”
12
Nitamurudishia Yawe nini, kwa vyote alivyonitendea?
13
Nitamutolea sadaka ya divai kwa kumushukuru maana ameniokoa. Nitaomba kwa jina la Yawe.
14
Nitamutimizia Yawe viapo vyangu, mbele ya watu wake wote.
15
Kifo cha waaminifu wa Yawe si jambo dogo mbele yake.
16
Ee Yawe, mimi ni mutumishi wako, mutumishi wako, mutoto wa mujakazi wako. Umenifungulia vifungo vyangu.
17
Nitakutolea sadaka za shukrani. Nitaomba kwa jina la Yawe.
18
Nitatimizia ahadi zangu kwa Yawe, mbele ya watu wake wote,
19
katika kiwanja cha hekalu lake, katikati yako, ee Yerusalema. Haleluia!
