Dyma air yr ARGLWYDD a ddaeth at y proffwyd Jeremeia ynghylch y Philistiaid, cyn i Pharo daro Gasa.

"Fel hyn y dywed yr ARGLWYDD: 'Wele, y mae dyfroedd yn tarddu o'r gogledd, ac yn llifeirio'n ffrwd gref; llifant dros y wlad a'i chynnwys, ei dinasoedd a'u preswylwyr. Y mae'r bobl yn gweiddi a holl breswylwyr y wlad yn udo,

oherwydd su373?n carnau ei feirch yn curo, ac oherwydd trwst ei gerbydau a thwrf yr olwynion. Ni thry'r rhieni'n l i edrych am y plant; gwanychodd eu dwylo gymaint.

Daeth y dydd i ddinistrio yr holl Philistiaid, i dorri allan o Tyrus ac o Sidon bob un sy'n aros i'w cynorthwyo. Dinistria'r ARGLWYDD y Philistiaid, gweddill ynystir Cafftor.

Daeth moelni ar Gasa, a dinistriwyd Ascalon. Ti, weddill yr Anacim, pa hyd yr archolli dy hun?

O gleddyf yr ARGLWYDD, pa hyd y byddi heb ymlonyddu? Dychwel i'th wain; gorffwys, a bydd dawel.

Pa fodd yr ymlonydda, gan i'r ARGLWYDD ei orchymyn? Yn erbyn Ascalon, ac yn erbyn glan y mr y gosododd ef.'"
