Vår Gud er i himmelen, alt han vil, det gjer han.

Gudebileta deira er av sølv og gull, menneskehender har laga dei.

Dei har øyre, men kan ikkje høyra, dei har nase, men kan ikkje lukta.

Dei har hender, men kan ikkje føla, dei har føter, men kan ikkje gå, dei har ikkje lyd i strupen.

Slik blir òg dei som lagar dei, og alle som set si lit til dei.

Stol på HERREN, Israel! Han er deira hjelp og skjold.

Stol på HERREN, de som fryktar han! Han er deira hjelp og skjold.

Måtte HERREN la dykk auka i tal, både de og borna dykkar!
