Amo o SENHOR, porque ele ouve a minha voz quando peço a sua ajuda.
2
Ele me ouve e eu chamarei por ele toda a minha vida.
3
A morte me apertava com as suas cordas, o lugar dos mortos se fechava sobre mim. Estava aflito e sofrendo.
4
Então chamei pelo nome do SENHOR e disse: “Ó SENHOR, por favor, salve-me da morte!”
5
O SENHOR é compassivo e justo; o nosso Deus é misericordioso.
6
O SENHOR protege os indefesos; quando já não tinha forças, ele me salvou.
7
Posso descansar, porque o SENHOR foi bom para mim.
8
Ele me salvou da morte, secou as minhas lágrimas e não me deixou cair.
9
Por isso, continuarei fazendo o que agrada ao SENHOR, enquanto estiver na terra dos vivos.
10
Mesmo quando disse: “A minha aflição é muito grande”, continuei confiando nele.
11
No meu desespero, cheguei a dizer: “Não posso confiar em ninguém”.
12
Como posso pagar ao SENHOR por todo o bem que ele me fez?
13
Darei graças a Deus pelo sacrifício que me salvou e chamarei sempre pelo nome do SENHOR.
14
Cumprirei as promessas que fiz ao SENHOR na presença de todo o seu povo.
15
O SENHOR se preocupa com a morte dos seus fiéis.
16
Ó SENHOR, eu sou seu servo e a minha mãe também era sua serva! O Senhor quebrou as correntes que me prendiam.
17
Eu lhe oferecerei um sacrifício de agradecimento e chamarei pelo nome do SENHOR.
18
Cumprirei as promessas que fiz ao SENHOR na presença de todo o seu povo,
19
nos pátios do templo do SENHOR, no meio de você, ó Jerusalém! Aleluia!
