Louange. De David. Aleph. Je t'exalterai, mon Dieu, ô Roi ! Et je bénirai ton nom à toujours et à perpétuité.

Beth. Chaque jour je te bénirai, Et je célébrerai ton nom à toujours et à perpétuité !

Guimel. Grand est l'Eternel; il est digne de toutes les louanges, Et sa grandeur est insondable.

Daleth. Un âge à l'autre âge dira la louange de tes œuvres Et publiera tes hauts faits.

Hé. La splendeur de la gloire de ta majesté Et les récits de tes œuvres merveilleuses, Voilà ce dont j'occuperai ma pensée.

Vav. On dira la puissance de tes actes redoutables, Et je raconterai tes grands exploits.

Zaïn. On répandra le souvenir de ta grande bonté, Et l'on fera de ta justice un chant de joie !

Heth. L'Eternel est compatissant et miséricordieux, Lent à la colère et grand en bonté.

Teth. L'Eternel est bon envers tous, Et ses compassions s'étendent sur toutes ses œuvres.

Iod. Eternel ! toutes tes œuvres te loueront, Et tes fidèles te béniront.

Kaph. Ils diront la gloire de ton règne Et parleront de ta force

Lamed. Pour faire connaître aux fils des hommes tes hauts faits Et la gloire de la splendeur de ton règne.

Mem. Ton règne est un règne de tous les siècles Et ta domination est d'âge en âge.

Samech. L'Eternel soutient tous ceux qui tombent, Et il redresse tous ceux qui sont courbés.

Aïn. Les yeux de tous s'attendent à toi, Et tu leur donnes la nourriture en son temps.

Pé. Tu ouvres ta main, Et tu rassasies à souhait tout ce qui vit.

Tsadé. L'Eternel est juste dans toutes ses voies Et plein de bonté dans toutes ses œuvres.

Koph. L'Eternel est près de tous ceux qui l'invoquent, De tous ceux qui l'invoquent en vérité.

Resch. Il accomplit le souhait de ceux qui le craignent, Il entend leur cri et les délivre.
20
Schin. L'Eternel garde tous ceux qui l'aiment, Et il détruira tous les méchants !
21
Thav. Ma bouche publiera la louange de l'Eternel, Et toute chair bénira le nom de sa sainteté A toujours et à perpétuité.
