Louez l'Eternel, Car il est bon de psalmodier à notre Dieu, Car il est doux, il est beau de proclamer sa louange !

L'Eternel rebâtit Jérusalem Et rassemble les bannis d'Israël,

Il guérit ceux qui ont le cœur brisé Et bande leurs plaies.
4
Il fixe le nombre des étoiles, Il les appelle toutes par leur nom.
5
Grand est notre Seigneur, et puissant en force ! Il n'est point de limite à son intelligence.
6
L'Eternel soutient les humbles, Il abaisse les méchants jusqu'à terre.
7
Chantez à l'Eternel avec louange, Psalmodiez à notre Dieu sur la harpe !
8
Il couvre les cieux de nuées, Il prépare la pluie pour la terre, Il fait germer l'herbe sur les montagnes;
9
Il donne au bétail sa pâture, Aux petits du corbeau qui crient.
10
Ce n'est point en la vigueur du cheval qu'il se complaît, Ni aux jarrets de l'homme qu'il a égard.
11
L'Eternel prend plaisir en ceux qui le craignent, En ceux qui espèrent en sa bonté.
12
Jérusalem, rends gloire à l'Eternel, Sion, loue ton Dieu !
13
Car il a affermi les barres de tes portes, Il a béni tes fils au milieu de toi,
14
Lui qui a rendu la paix à ton territoire Et te rassasie de la moëlle du froment.
15
Il envoie ses ordres sur la terre, Sa parole court avec rapidité;
16
Il donne la neige comme de la laine, Il répand le givre comme de la cendre;
17
Il jette ses glaçons comme par morceaux; Qui peut résister à ses frimas?
18
Il envoie sa parole et les fait fondre; Il fait souffler son vent, les eaux s'écoulent.
19
Il a fait connaître sa parole à Jacob, Ses statuts et ses ordonnances à Israël.
20
Il n'a point agi de même envers aucune des nations, Elles ne connaissent point ses ordonnances. Louez l'Eternel !
