Psaume. De David. Seigneur, je t'invoque; agis vite en ma faveur! Prête l'oreille, quand je t'invoque!

Que ma prière te soit offerte comme l'encens, et l'élévation de mes mains comme l'offrande du soir!

Seigneur, veille sur ma bouche, garde la porte de mes lèvres!

N'incline pas mon cœur vers ce qui est mauvais. Que je ne me livre pas à des agissements méchants avec les hommes malfaisants! Que je ne goûte pas à leurs banquets!

Que le juste me frappe, c'est une faveur; qu'il me fasse des reproches, c'est de l'huile sur ma tête: ma tête ne s'y refusera pas; mais de nouveau ma prière s'élèvera contre leurs méfaits.

Que leurs juges soient jetés contre les parois des rochers, et l'on écoutera mes paroles, car elles sont belles.

Comme lorsque la terre se déchire et se fend, nos ossements sont dispersés devant la bouche du séjour des morts.

C'est vers toi, Dieu, Seigneur, que se tournent mes yeux, c'est en toi que je trouve un abri: n'expose pas ma vie!

Préserve-moi du piège qu'ils me tendent, et des traquenards des malfaisants!
10
Que les méchants tombent dans leurs filets pendant que, moi, j'échapperai!
