C'est là qu'il a brisé les foudres de l'arc, le bouclier, l'épée et la guerre.

Tu es plus resplendissant, plus magnifique que les montagnes des ravisseurs.

Ils ont été pris comme butin, ces hommes au cœur indomptable, ils se sont endormis de leur dernier sommeil; ils n'ont pas su se défendre, tous ces vaillants hommes.

Quand tu les as rabroués, Dieu de Jacob, cavaliers et chevaux sont tombés en torpeur.

C'est toi qui es redoutable, toi! Qui peut tenir en face de toi, au temps de ta colère?

Du ciel tu as fait entendre le verdict; la terre a eu peur, elle s'est tenue tranquille,

lorsque Dieu s'est levé pour l'équité, pour sauver tous les pauvres du pays.

La fureur même des humains te célèbre; tu te ceins des restes de fureurs.

Faites des vœux au Seigneur, votre Dieu, et acquittez-vous-en! Que tous ceux qui l'entourent apportent des dons au Redoutable!

Il coupe le souffle aux chefs, il est redoutable pour les rois de la terre.
