Louange. De David. Je t'exalterai, mon Dieu, toi qui es le roi; pour toujours, à jamais je bénirai ton nom.

Je te bénirai sans cesse; pour toujours, à jamais je louerai ton nom.

Le Seigneur est grand et digne de toute louange, sa grandeur est insondable.
4
De génération en génération, qu'on fasse l'éloge de tes œuvres, qu'on raconte tes hauts faits,
5
la magnificence éclatante de ta gloire; je méditerai le récit de tes actes étonnants.
6
On parlera de ta force redoutable, et je raconterai tes hauts faits.
7
On proclamera le souvenir de ton immense bonté, on criera ta justice.
8
Le Seigneur est clément et compatissant, patient et grand par la fidélité.
9
Le Seigneur est bon envers tous, sa compassion s'étend sur toutes ses œuvres.
10
Toutes tes œuvres te célébreront, Seigneur, et tes fidèles te béniront.
11
Ils diront la gloire de ton règne, et ils parleront de ta puissance,
12
pour faire connaître aux humains tes hauts faits et la gloire magnifique de ton règne.
13
Ton règne s'étend sur tous les âges, ta domination sur toutes les générations.
14
Le Seigneur soutient tous ceux qui tombent, il redresse tous ceux qui sont courbés.
15
Tous, avec espoir, tournent les yeux vers toi, c'est toi qui leur donnes leur nourriture en son temps.
16
Tu ouvres ta main et tu rassasies à souhait tout être vivant.
17
Le Seigneur est juste dans toutes ses voies et fidèle dans toutes ses œuvres.
18
Le Seigneur est proche de tous ceux qui l'invoquent, de tous ceux qui l'invoquent avec loyauté;
19
il réalise les souhaits de ceux qui le craignent, il entend leurs appels au secours et il les sauve.
20
Le Seigneur garde tous ceux qui l'aiment, il détruit tous les méchants.
21
Que ma bouche dise la louange du Seigneur! Que pour toujours, à jamais, tout être bénisse son nom sacré!
