Louez l'Éternel! Car il est bon de psalmodier (en l'honneur de) notre Dieu, Car il est agréable et beau de le louer.

L'Éternel rebâtit Jérusalem, Il rassemble les exilés d'Israël;

Il guérit ceux qui ont le cœur brisé Et panse leurs blessures.

Il compte le nombre des étoiles, Il leur donne à toutes des noms.

Notre Seigneur est grand, d'une force immense, Son intelligence n'a point de limite.

L'Éternel soutient les humbles, Il abaisse les méchants jusqu'à terre.

Entonnez un hymne à l'Éternel avec reconnaissance, Psalmodiez (en l'honneur de) notre Dieu avec la harpe!

Il couvre les cieux de nuages, Il prépare la pluie pour la terre; Il fait germer l'herbe sur les montagnes.

Il donne sa nourriture au bétail, Aux petits du corbeau quand ils crient.
10
Ce n'est pas dans la vigueur du cheval qu'il se complaît, Ce n'est pas la robustesse de l'homme qu'il agrée;

L'Éternel agrée ceux qui le craignent, Ceux qui s'attendent à sa bienveillance.

Jérusalem, glorifie l'Éternel! Sion, loue ton Dieu!

Car il renforce les verrous de tes portes, Il bénit tes fils au milieu de toi;
14
Il établit la paix dans ton territoire, Il te rassasie du meilleur froment.
15
Il envoie sa promesse sur la terre: Sa parole court avec rapidité.
16
Il donne la neige comme de la laine, Il répand le givre comme de la cendre;

Il lance sa glace par morceaux; Qui peut résister devant son froid?
18
Il envoie sa parole et les fait fondre; Il fait souffler son vent, et les eaux coulent.
19
Il révèle ses paroles à Jacob, Ses prescriptions et ses ordonnances à Israël;
20
Il n'a pas agi de même pour toutes les nations; Elles ne connaissent pas ses ordonnances. Louez l'Éternel!
