Au chef de chœur. Cantique. Psaume. Lancez une clameur vers Dieu (Habitants de) toute la terre!

Psalmodiez à la gloire de son nom, Rendez-lui gloire par la louange!

Dites à Dieu: Que tes actes sont redoutables! À cause de la grandeur de ta force, tes ennemis te flattent.

Toute la terre se prosterne devant toi et psalmodie en ton (honneur); Elle psalmodie (en l'honneur de) ton nom.
5
Venez et contemplez les œuvres de Dieu! Il est redoutable quand il agit sur les humains.
6
Il changea la mer en une terre sèche, On traversa le fleuve à pied: C'est là que nous nous sommes réjouis en lui.
7
Il domine éternellement par sa puissance, Ses yeux surveillent les nations: Que les rebelles ne s'élèvent pas!
8
Peuples, bénissez notre Dieu, Faites entendre (vos) voix pour sa louange!
9
Il amène notre âme à la vie, Et il n'a pas exposé notre pied à chanceler.
10
Car tu nous as sondés, ô Dieu! Tu nous as éprouvés comme on éprouve l'argent.

Tu nous avais amenés dans le filet, Tu avais mis sur nos reins un pesant fardeau,
12
Tu avais fait chevaucher des hommes à notre tête, Nous avions passé par le feu et par l'eau, Mais tu nous en as fait sortir pour (nous donner) l'abondance.

J'irai dans ta maison avec des holocaustes, J'accomplirai envers toi mes vœux:

Ceux que mes lèvres ont exprimés, Et que ma bouche a prononcés dans ma détresse.
15
Je t'offrirai de gras holocaustes, Des béliers avec de l'encens. Je sacrifierai du gros bétail avec des boucs.
16
Venez, écoutez, vous tous qui craignez Dieu, et je raconterai Ce qu'il a fait pour mon âme.
17
J'ai crié à lui de ma bouche, Et ma langue a pu l'exalter.
18
Si j'avais vu de la fraude dans mon cœur, Le Seigneur ne m'aurait pas écouté.
19
Mais en fait Dieu m'a écouté, Il a été attentif à la voix de ma prière.
20
Béni soit Dieu, Qui n'a pas écarté ma prière, Ni sa bienveillance loin de moi!
