Je t'exalte, Éternel, car tu m'as relevé, Tu n'as pas laissé mes ennemis se réjouir à mon sujet.

Éternel, mon Dieu! J'ai crié à toi, et tu m'as guéri.

Éternel! tu as fait remonter mon âme du séjour des morts, Tu m'as fait revivre loin de ceux qui descendent dans la fosse.

Psalmodiez (en l'honneur) de l'Éternel, vous ses fidèles, Célébrez son saint nom!

Car sa colère (dure) un instant, Mais sa faveur toute la vie; Le soir arrivent les pleurs, Et le matin la jubilation.

Je disais dans ma tranquillité: Je ne chancellerai jamais!

Éternel! par ta faveur tu avais puissamment affermi ma montagne … Tu cachas ta face, et je fus troublé.

Éternel! j'ai crié vers toi, J'ai supplié l'Éternel:

Que gagnes-tu à (verser) mon sang, À me faire descendre dans le gouffre? La poussière te célébrera-t-elle? Racontera-t-elle ta vérité?

Écoute, Éternel, fais-moi grâce! Éternel, sois mon secours!

Tu as changé mon deuil en allégresse, Tu as délié mon sac et tu m'as ceint de joie,

Afin que tout mon être psalmodie en ton (honneur) et ne soit pas muet. Éternel, mon Dieu! je te célébrerai toujours.
