Il est bon de célébrer l'Éternel Et de psalmodier (en l'honneur de) ton nom, ô Très-Haut!

D'annoncer dès le matin ta bienveillance, Et ta fidélité pendant les nuits.

Sur (l'instrument à) dix (cordes) et sur le luth, Aux sons de la harpe.
5
Tu me réjouis par ce que tu fais, ô Éternel! Et j'acclame les œuvres de tes mains.
6
Que tes œuvres sont grandes, ô Éternel! Combien profondes tes pensées!
7
L'homme stupide n'y connaît rien, Et l'insensé n'en a aucune intelligence.
8
Quand les méchants fleurissent comme l'herbe, Quand s'épanouissent tous ceux qui commettent l'injustice, C'est pour être détruits à jamais.
9
Mais toi, là-haut, Pour toujours tu es l'Éternel!

Car voici tes ennemis: ô Éternel! Car voici tes ennemis, ils périssent; Tous ceux qui commettent l'injustice sont dispersés.

Tu élèves ma force comme celle du buffle; Je suis arrosé d'une huile fraîche.

Mes regards s'arrêtent sur mes détracteurs, Et mes oreilles entendent Ceux qui se dressent méchamment contre moi.

Les justes fleurissent comme le palmier, Ils croissent comme le cèdre du Liban.
14
Plantés dans la maison de l'Éternel, Ils fleurissent dans les parvis de notre Dieu;
15
Ils sont encore féconds dans la vieillesse, Ils sont pleins de sève et verdoyants,
16
Pour annoncer que l'Éternel est droit. Il est mon rocher, et il n'y a pas d'injustice en lui.
