Na uabhar geur‐leanaidh an t‑aingidh am bochd; glacar iad anns na h‑innleachdan a dhealbh iad.

Oir nì an t‑aingidh ràiteachas à miann a chridhe; agus molaidh e an duine sanntach as beag le Dia.
4
Ann an uabhar a ghnùise chan iarr an t‑aingidh Dia; chan eil Dia na uile smuaintean.
5
Tha a shlighean doilgheasach anns gach àm; tha do bhreitheanais àrd as a shealladh; a‑thaobh a naimhdean uile, nì e tarcais orra.
6
Thubhairt e na chridhe, Cha ghluaisear mi; gu bràth cha bhi mi ann an àmhghar.
7
Tha a bheul làn de mhallachadh agus de cheilg agus de mhealltaireachd; fo a theangaidh tha donas agus dìomhanas.
8
Suidhidh e ann an ionadan‐falaich nam bailtean beaga; ann an àitean diamhair mortaidh e an neochiontach; tha a shùilean ann an uaigneas a’ dearcadh air a’ bhochd.
9
Nì e feall‐fhalach gu diamhair, mar leòmhann na gharaidh; nì e feall‐fhalach a‑chum gun glac e an duine bochd; glacaidh e an duine bochd, ga tharraing na lìon.
10
Crùbaidh e, cromaidh e sìos, agus tuitidh am bochd le a dhaoine làidir.
11
Thubhairt e na chridhe, Dhìochuimhnich Dia; dh’fhalaich e a ghnùis; cha lèir dha siud am feasd.
12
Eirich, a Thighearna Dhè, tog suas do làmh; na dìochuimhnich na daoine bochda.
13
Carson a rinn an t‑aingidh tàir air Dia, a thubhairt e na chridhe, Chan iarr thu e?
14
Chunnaic thu e, oir is lèir dhut olc agus mìorun, a‑chum an dìoladh led làimh: ortsa fàgaidh an duine bochd e fhèin; is tu fear‐cuideachaidh an dìlleachdain.
15
Bris thusa gàirdean an aingidh agus an droch dhuine; rannsaich a‑mach a aingidheachd gus nach faigh thu i.
16
Tha an Tighearna na Rìgh gu saoghal nan saoghal; sgriosadh na cinnich a‑mach as a thìr.
17
A Thighearna, chuala tu miann nan daoine bochda; deasaichidh tu an cridhe; bheir thu air do chluais èisdeachd,
18
A chumail còir ris an dìlleachdan agus ris an truaghan, a‑chum nach dèan duine on ùir fòirneart nas mò.
