Ann an ìobairt agus ann an tabhartas cha do ghabh thu tlachd; dh’fhosgail thu mo chluasan; ìobairt‐loisgte agus ìobairt‐pheacaidh cha d’iarr thu.

An sin thubhairt mi, Feuch, tha mi a’ teachd; ann an ròla an leabhair tha e sgrìobhte ormsa.

Is e mo thlachd do thoil a dhèanamh, a Dhè; seadh, tha do lagh an taobh a‑staigh dem chridhe.
9
Rinn mi sgeul air d’fhìreantachd anns a’ choitheanal mhòr; feuch, cha do chaisg mi mo bhilean, a Thighearna; is aithne dhut.
10
Cha d’fhalaich mi d’fhìreantachd ann am meadhon mo chridhe; chuir mi an cèill d’fhìrinn agus do shlàinte; cha do cheil mi do choibhneas gràdhach agus d’fhìrinn on choitheanal mhòr.

A Thighearna, na cùm‐sa do chaomh‐thròcairean uam; gleidheadh do choibhneas gràdhach agus d’fhìrinn a‑ghnàth mi.
12
Oir dh’iadh uilc gun àireamh mun cuairt orm; ghlac m’euceartan mi, agus chan eil e an comas dhomh sealltainn suas; nas lìonmhoire tha iad na falt mo chinn, agus thrèig mo chridhe mi.
13
Guma toil leat, a Thighearna, mo theasairginn; greas, a Thighearna, a‑chum mo chuideachaidh.
14
Nàire agus amhluadh gu robh orrasan le chèile a tha ag iarraidh m’anama ga sgrios; ruaigear air an ais agus nàraichear iadsan a tha a’ guidhe uilc dhomh.

Aonaranach gu robh iadsan mar thuarasdal an nàire, a their riumsa, Ahà, ahà!

Dèanadh iadsan uile a dh’iarras thusa gàirdeachas agus aoibhneas annad; abradh iadsan an còmhnaidh a ghràdhaicheas do shlàinte, Mòr‐mholadh gu robh don Tighearna.

Tha mise bochd agus uireasbhaidheach, ach smaoinichidh an Tighearna orm. Is tusa m’fhear‐cobhair agus m’fhear‐saoraidh; a Dhè, na dèan moille.
