Le a iteagan còmhdaichidh e thu, agus fo a sgiathan bidh d’earbsa; bidh a fhìrinn na sgèith agus na targaid dhut.

Cha bhi eagal ort a‑thaobh an uamhais anns an oidhche, no na saighde a ruitheas anns an là,

No na plàigh a ghluaiseas ann an dorchadas, no an sgrios a mhilleas mu mheadhon‐là.
7
Tuitidh mìle rid thaobh, agus deich mìle air do làimh dheis, ach cha tig e am fagas dhut.
8
A‑mhàin led shùilean seallaidh tu, agus chì thu dìol nan aingidh.
9
A chionn gun do rinn thu an Tighearna na thèarmann, an Tì as àirde na ionad‐còmhnaidh dhut,
10
Chan èirich olc air bith dhut, agus cha tig plàigh am fagas dod fhàrdaich;
11
Oir bheir e àithne da ainglean mud thimcheall, a‑chum do ghleidheadh ann ad shlighean uile.
12
Nan làmhan togaidh iad suas thu, air eagal gum buail thu do chas air cloich.
13
Air an leòmhann agus an nathair‐nimhe saltraidh tu; pronnaidh tu fod chois an leòmhann òg agus an dràgon.
14
A chionn gu bheil gràdh aige dhomh, saoraidh mi e; àrdaichidh mi e, a chionn gur aithne dha m’ainm.
15
Gairmidh e orm, agus èisdidh mi ris; bidh mi maille ris ann an teinn; teasairgidh mi e, agus bheir mi urram dha.
16
Le fad làithean sàsaichidh mi e, agus nochdaidh mi dha mo shlàinte.
