Ach air mo shonsa, is beag nach d’aom mo chasan; cha mhòr nach do shleamhnaich mo cheuman uam.

Oir ghabh mi tnù ri amadain, ri faicinn soirbheachadh dhaoine aingidh.

Oir chan eil cuibhrichean nam bàs, ach tha an neart làidir.
5
Ann an docair mar dhaoine eile chan eil iad, agus mar dhaoine eile chan eil iad air an sàrachadh.
6
Uime sin mar shlabhraidh chuartaich àrdan iad; mar thrusgan chòmhdaich fòirneart iad.
7
Sheas an sùil a‑mach le saill; fhuair iad thar miann an cridhe.
8
Tha iad truaillidh, agus labhraidh iad gu h‑aingidh air fòirneart; gu h‑àrd labhraidh iad.
9
Chuir iad am beul an aghaidh nan nèamh, agus ghluais an teanga air feadh na talmhainn.
10
Air an adhbhar sin tillidh a shluagh an seo, agus fàisgear uisgeachan cupain làin a‑mach dhaibh.
11
Agus their iad, Cionnas as aithne do Dhia, agus a bheil eòlas aig an Tì as àirde?
12
Feuch, is iad sin na daoine aingidh a tha a’ soirbheachadh anns an t‑saoghal; tha iad a’ càrnadh suas beartais.
13
Da‑rìribh, gu dìomhain ghlan mi mo chridhe, agus nigh mi mo làmhan ann an neochiontas.
14
Oir bhuaileadh mi air feadh an là, agus smachdaicheadh mi gach madainn.
15
Nan abrainn, Labhraidh mi mar seo, feuch, air ginealach do chloinne dhèanainn eucoir.
16
Nuair a smaoinich mi air seo a thuigsinn, bu chruaidh an gnothach e ann am shùilean,
17
Gus an deachaidh mi a‑steach do naomh‐ionad Dhè: an sin thuig mi an crìoch‐san.
18
Gu deimhinn, ann an àitean sleamhainn chuir thu iad; thilg thu sìos iad gu sgrios.
19
Cionnas a thugadh iad gu sgrios, mar ann an tiota, agus a chuireadh as dhaibh gu tur le uamhasan!
20
Mar aisling nuair a dhùisgeas neach, a Thighearna, anns a’ bhaile nì thu tarcais air an dealbh.
21
Ach bha mo chridhe goirt, agus bha goimh am àirnean;
22
Agus bha mi baoth agus aineolach; mar ainmhidh bha mi ad làthair.
23
Gidheadh, tha mi a‑ghnàth maille riut; chùm thu suas mi air do dheas‐làimh.
24
Led chomhairle stiùraidh tu mi, agus fa dheòidh gabhaidh tu mi a‑chum glòire.
25
Cò a tha agam anns na nèamhan ach thusa? Agus an coimeas riut chan eil neach air thalamh air a bheil mo dhèidh.
26
Tha m’fheòil agus mo chridhe air fàilneachadh; is e Dia neart mo chridhe agus mo chuibhreann gu sìorraidh.
27
Oir feuch, sgriosar iadsan a thèid fada uat; gheàrr thu as gach neach a chaidh uat le strìopachas.
28
Ach is math dhòmhsa teachd dlùth do Dhia. Anns an Tighearna chuir mi mo dhòigh, a‑chum gum foillsichinn d’obraichean uile.
